On the slopes of the Acatenango volcano, this coffee was meticulously harvested by the Perez brothers, Erick, Maynor, and Arisitdes, from the small community of Quisaché. Acatenango is renowned for its rich volcanic soil which gives the beans with a distinctive flavor profile.
After being harvested, the beans were then transported to the La Esperanza mill, a well-respected beneficio (coffee mill) located in the historic city of Antigua where they were milled, cupped for quality, and prepped for export.
